NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Wednesday’s Norfolk Admirals game was postponed due to “unsafe ice conditions” according to the team’s social media. However, future games are expected to continue as scheduled.

Those who purchased a ticket for Wednesday’s game should have received an email on Thursday with further updates and information, including the following:

  • Fans who paid for parking via credit card will have those transactions automatically refunded.
  • Fans who paid for parking with cash have the following options:
    • Provide their receipt/parking ticket, if they kept it, when they return for another Admirals game. They will not have to pay for parking for that return game. If they did not, a cashier will be on-site for upcoming Admirals games to process refunds.
    • Visit the Parking Division’s Main Street office for a refund.
    • Call the Refund Hotline at (757) 664-6228.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding and dedication to Admirals hockey,” a social media post read.

A spokesperson explained there was an area on the rink that did not freeze properly, which led to Wednesday’s postponement. It has since been fixed.

All tickets purchased for the March 26 game will be valid for the rescheduled game on Wednesday, April 2 starting at 7:05 p.m.

If you are unable to attend the rescheduled game, you can exchange your March 26 ticket at the Scope Box Office for any remaining regular season Admirals game. The Scope Box Office is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and opens at 10 a.m. on game days.
