VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Sandbox VR is set to open its first Virginia Beach location on Friday, August 1, in the Atlantic Park entertainment district, offering a cutting-edge virtual reality experience.

Sandbox VR, known for its full-body virtual reality experiences, is expanding its global footprint with the new location in the heart of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The venue will feature four private rooms where groups of up to six players can engage in immersive gameplay, utilizing advanced motion capture and haptic technology.

“We’re thrilled to bring Sandbox VR’s cutting-edge entertainment experiences to Virginia Beach and Atlantic Park—a destination that perfectly embodies innovation and community,” said Sandbox VR CEO and Founder, Steve Zhao.

Sandbox VR offers nine exclusive immersive experiences, including partnerships with Netflix and director Zack Snyder for the Rebel Moon: The Descent game. Players can explore various virtual worlds, from battling zombies in Deadwood PHOBIA to competing in Squid Game-inspired challenges.
