NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race is headed to Newport News on Monday.
The popular show highlights local food truck chefs and features various challenges, providing residents with an opportunity to experience the different food trucks from around the country.
“We’re excited to welcome The Great Food Truck Race to Newport News and offer our community the chance to experience the thrill of this culinary competition,” Newport News Mayor Phillip Jones said. “This event highlights the creativity and talent of food truck chefs, while also celebrating our city’s vibrant food culture.”
The culinary event will take place on Monday and Tuesday, with food trucks stationed at Port Warwick from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and at Victory Landing Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
The event itself is free to attend, and attendees are encouraged to purchase food from the available food trucks.
