Women Build Weeks

WAVY-TV 10 and The Hampton Roads Show are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads for this year’s ‘Women Build Weeks’.

It’s a chance for women to gain skills on a build site and learn the construction trade.

We’re getting the word out that Habitat for Humanity South Hampton Roads is looking for volunteers, sponsors, donations to help a deserving family.

Overview

• Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads (Habitat SHR) is proud to host its annual Women Build Weeks this July in Norfolk.
• Taking place the weeks of July 14 and July 21, this signature event empowers women from all walks of life to come together to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through the shelter.
• This year, volunteers and sponsors will help construct two new homes for two hardworking, women-led households.

• Both homes are being built side-by-side, symbolizing community, support, and shared strength.
• The future homeowners are two women heads of household, building alongside sponsors, volunteers, and community advocates to create a better future for their families.

Women Build Club

• The Habitat SHR Women Build Club will kick off the construction on Monday, July 14, with a dedicated day of service and celebration.
