A fire damaged a home on Romaron Street Monday, the Chesapeake Fire Department said.

Chesapeake Police say a man was charged with two counts of animal cruelty in connection to a Sept. 8 incident in which they say a man shot two of his dogs after they were allegedly fighting and his wife was bit when she tried to break them apart.
