SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – One person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a mail truck in Suffolk Friday.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the scene in the 3000 block of Whaleyville Blvd. around 11:30 a.m.
The crash involved two vehicles.
The driver of the car that collided with the mail truck was charged with reckless driving, a seatbelt violation and a registration violation.
WAVY confirmed with fire officials that the person injured was not seriously hurt.
The road was shut down while crews worked to clear the scene.
