LIV Golf was in Virginia this week for a final tuneup before several of its players compete in next week’s U.S. Open at Oakmont. This week’s LIV event offered its customary $25 million purse, with $4 million to the individual winner and $5 million set aside for the team event.
And for a remarkable fourth time this season, Joaquin Niemann is taking home the big check. The Chilean shot a final-round 62 with preferred lies at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, storming ahead from off the pace. The LIV Golf League points leader has won every other event on the 2025 schedule and now has six wins overall in LIV, the most of any player.
Graeme McDowell turned in his best LIV finish, tying for second alongside Anirban Lahiri at one shot behind Niemann. Bryson DeChambeau was one shot behind them in a tie for fourth and now goes to Oakmont to try for back-to-back U.S. Open titles.
