The Atlanta Braves gave an unfortunate update about pitcher Spencer Strider on Monday—the ace has been placed on the 15-day injured list.

Strider sprained his right hamstring while playing catch on Monday, the organization said. The pitcher had just made his return to baseball on April 16 after recovering from elbow surgery that he underwent last April. It took him basically a full year to return to the mound for the Braves.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
