The decision from GM Nico Harrison and the Dallas Mavericks to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers continues to haunt the franchise, and fans aren't the only one still devastated by the star guard's departure.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked about the Doncic trade during a Tuesday press conference. Jones called Doncic a "personal friend" and said they've watched several games together.

Jones also added that his wife, Eugenia, who is a big basketball fan and a former all-state basketball player, cried when the Mavericks traded Doncic, per NFL insider Jane Slater.

Doncic was dealt to the Lakers on Feb. 1 in a blockbuster trade that rocked the basketball world. To this day, more than two months later, Harrison has been unable to escape some rather ruthless criticism from the fan base for his role in orchestrating the notorious deal. That much was evidenced by the topic coming up during Jones's presser with the Cowboys' media.

It seems Gene is among those who were crushed to see Doncic leave town in the trade, though she's far from alone in that regard.
