CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake’s Michael Cherry is in the men’s 400-meter finals at the Tokyo Olympics.
Cherry easily won his heat Monday morning (August 2) with a time of 44.44 in the semifinals.
This is the first ever Olympics for the Oscar Smith High alum and two-time NCAA champion. He’ll compete in the 400m finals on Thursday at 8 a.m. ET.
