RALEIGH, N.C. (Courtesy of NSU Athletics) – After securing the program’s fourth MEAC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance with a thrilling 66-65 victory over South Carolina State, Norfolk State looks to shock the world against one of the top teams in the nation.


The No. 16 seed Spartans (24-10, 11-3 MEAC) face No. 1 seed Florida (30-4, 14-4) in the NCAA Tournament First Round on Friday evening in the second postseason meeting between the teams.

CHAMPIONS ONCE AGAIN

Norfolk State took down South Carolina State 66-65 in the MEAC Tournament Final on Saturday, securing the Spartans’ fourth-ever conference tournament title

Christian Ings led NSU with 16 points, adding seven rebounds and five assists, knocking down the game-winning free throw in the game’s final 10 seconds. He was named to the MEAC All-Tournament Team
