DOVER, DE (WAVY) — Potentially one of two trips to Waffle House have been had for Chesapeake Native Brenden ‘Butterbean’ Queen after putting on a clinic at Dover Motor Speedway on Friday.
Queen dominated General Tire 150 and the Monster Mile by leading all 150 laps of the race and winning by more than seven seconds.
“Just bad to the bone race car driving right there,” Queen said to FS1. “I told them I wanted a monster to take back to the Hampton Heat tomorrow night. That bad boy is going on a road trip tonight.”
Queen will now make the trek back down to Hampton Roads, where he’ll look for his third consecutive Hampton Heat victory. If he were to win that Saturday, he’ll hold the records for the most Heat wins in the event’s history.
Queen will look to make history at Langley Speedway when the 17th Hampton Heat begins at 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
