ASHBURN (WAVY) – According to his own social media post, Von Miller is set to join the Washington Commanders this coming season.

Miller has been one of the best players in all of the NFL since coming into the league in 2011 as the second overall pick out of Texas A&M.

For his career, he has 129.5 sacks and 27 forced fumbles. The 36-year-old has played for the Broncos, Rams and Bills over 14 NFL seasons.

Miller fills a need for Washington as an edge rusher. The move indicates even more clearly the Commanders are ‘all in’ for this coming season, as general manager Adam Peters has had a busy offseason, trading for Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel, and now signing Miller.

Washington does have the oldest roster in all of the NFL, with the average of just over 27 years old.
