GREEN BAY, Wis. (WAVY) — After speculation that the Commanders might trade out of the 29th selection on Thursday night in the first round of the NFL Draft, the team ended up picking Josh Conerly Jr.

An offensive tackle out of Oregon, Conerly Jr. is listed at 6-foot-5, 311 pounds. He fills a need for Washington at the position after the departure of Cornelius Lucas to the Cleveland Browns in the offseason.

Conerly Jr. was a third-team Associated Press All-American and first-team All-Big Ten selection. He started all 14 games at LT in the 2024 season.
