SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A woman has died following a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon in Southampton County.
Southampton County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a two-car crash on General Thomas Highway at Atlantic Drive around 4:10 p.m. This is just south of the town of Newsoms.
One driver, identified as Natasha Boone, 39, was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead due to injuries suffered in the crash.
The other driver was taken to a local hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.
The incident is still under investigation. No charges have been filed.
