CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WAVY) – Five people are reported to be in stable condition following a mass shooting Friday night in Charlottesville, according to the Charlottesville Police Department.

The shooting happened around 11:23 p.m. near Orangedale Avenue and officers arrived to find a 52-year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman, a 17-year-old boy, an 11-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl suffering from gunshot wounds, according to CPD.

Emergency medical services and personnel were not immediately able to access the scene due to the foot traffic, but officers and medics were still able to apply care until EMS personnel arrived.
