NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Zoo annual movie night event, ‘Zoovies’, showcasing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, has been rescheduled to a later date because of the weather. Thunderstorms are forecast during the event time.
The ‘Zoovies’ event originally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 26 will now take place on Friday, Oct. 3 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m..
Attendee tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date, the zoo said in a release.
If you can not attend the rescheduled event date or have any questions, call 757-441-2374 ext. 241 and leave a voicemail and someone from the zoo will get back to you. Refund requests must be made no later than Monday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m.
Ticket activities include an after-hours viewing of the zoo animals until 6:30 p.m. and photo opportunities at the Express train station.
Tickets are currently on sale as follows, but may be subject to change:
- Member Child (2-17): $5
- Member Adult (18+): $5
- Non-Member Child (2-11): $5.95
- Non-Member Adult (12+): $8.95
- Children under 2 are no cost, but require a ticket for reservation
Additional activities include but are not limited to, a Harry Potter themed vendor market featuring small local businesses, Express train rides, face painting, Harry Potter themed ‘potion’ drinks (alcohol and non-alcoholic options) food trucks, and snack bars.
