AHOSKIE, N.C. (WAVY) — A man wanted for a June shooting that left a man dead in Ahoskie has been arrested, police say.
Ahoskie Police said 30-year-old Akendo Taurin Williams was charged with the murder of Reco Larone Lewis, which occurred on June 23.
Lewis was found lying face down in the grass in front of an apartment on Kennedy Court at 4:35 a.m.. Lewis was pronounced deceased on scene. Police say Lewis was shot multiple times.
Williams was charged with first degree murder and currently being held without bond.
