With a strong belief in accountability, transparency, and common-sense leadership, Robert is running for the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors to ensure that the voices of District 5 residents are heard and respected. Professionally, Robert brings over five decades of experience in logistics and operations management. He currently serves as Sales Manager for Commercial Ready Mix Products Inc., where he oversees critical supply chain processes and leads diverse teams to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions. His strong background in business and operations gives him a sharp understanding of budgeting, infrastructure planning, and strategic decision-making—skills that directly translate to responsible, transparent local governance. Robert has also served in leadership roles on Isle of Wight’s School Board and is a co-founder of the Windsor Youth Foundation, both in which he has earned a reputation for being thoughtful, fair, and community-minded.

Why are you running for office?

I am running for the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors because I believe our community deserves open, transparent, and responsive local government. My goal is to ensure that the citizens I represent are well informed about the decisions that affect them, and that they have a clear voice in shaping the future of our county. By keeping residents engaged and listening closely to their priorities, I will work to make sure county government reflects the will of the people it serves.

If you are elected, what will be your top priority in office?

I understand the values we want to preserve and the challenges we face. I will focus on responsible growth that protects our rural character, strong support for our schools, and improvements to infrastructure that serve both families and businesses. With my background in logistics, operations, and public service, I will bring accountability, transparency, and common-sense leadership to every decision so that government works for the people it represents.

What is the top challenge facing Isle of Wight County and how would you address it?

The top challenge facing Isle of Wight County is unchecked development and rapid growth. While growth can bring opportunity, if it’s not carefully managed, it strains our schools, roads, and public services and threatens the rural character that makes our county special. I believe the solution is responsible, planned growth—working with residents to set clear priorities, ensuring developers pay their fair share for infrastructure, and focusing new development in the right areas. By taking a balanced, common-sense approach, we can welcome growth that strengthens our community without sacrificing the quality of life our families value.

How do you work with others you don’t agree with?

In my career managing diverse teams in logistics and operations, I’ve learned that the best solutions come when different perspectives are heard and respected. I don’t shy away from working with people I may not agree with—because those conversations often lead to stronger, more balanced decisions. My focus is always on listening first, finding common ground, and keeping the end goal of serving the community at the center. Even when we disagree, I believe respectful dialogue and collaboration are the keys to building trust and moving forward together.
