Biography 

I am a long time resident of Southampton County and a 1987 graduate of Southampton High School. I served proudly in the United States Navy from 1987 thru 1991. From there I traveled the United States with a construction company before coming home. I have owned a business restaurant and co-owned a home renovation company. I was a Virginia State Correctioal Officer for 22 years and now I proudly serve as the lead Security Officer for Franklin City Public Schools. I have resided in Southampton County most of my life. Both my father and mothers families have deep roots in the County.

Why are you running for office?

To help make Southampton County School System the best in the State of Virginia.

If you are elected, what will be your top priority in office?

Teacher retention and pay.

Do you believe partisan politics have a place in schools?

No you are there for the students. Partisan politics needs to make way for common sense and what is best for the students. Enough with the divide.

What say should parents have in the curriculum taught to their child?  *

There voice should be heard and considered.

How do you work with others you don’t agree with?

My whole life has been about the art of compromise. Leadership and people skills are needed for this job.
