Biography

I am a native of Surry County and an alumna of Surry County High School, who currently attends Virginia Peninsula Community College (VPCC); majoring in Business Administration. I have served as a Legislative Fellow for Senator Lashrecse Aird of the 13th District during the 2025 General Assembly session and currently serve as a Campaign intern for Kimberly Pope Adams who is running for the House of Delegates. I own and operate my business; “Prez Productionz LLC”, founded to motivate others through creating positive clothing and candles for all. I am also founder and chair of my organization “Produce Your Future Foundation” a philanthropic initiative of Prez Productionz LLC with a goal to teach and uplift people, especially the youth on how to embrace what they have and use it to “Produce their Future”, offering speaking engagements, workshops, mentorships, events, and more. I am also a member of the Surry County NAACP, Surry County Public Schools PTA, a mentor for Surry County High School Technology Student Association, and a United to Empower Youth Ambassador. Some of my past experiences include, serving as an assistant coach to the Surry County High School Varsity Boys Basketball team and serving as the State Vice President for the Technology Student Association.

Why are you running for office?

Surry County is my home. From the phenomenal school system we have, to the rural charm and rich history within our county, and to the kindhearted citizens who live here, Surry is truly something special. That is why I am running, to continue to serve and give back to the community who has shaped who I am today. Additionally, as a young advocate on the local, state, and national level, I am running for the Surry County Board of Supervisors – Dendron District because Surry County deserves a strong voice and a fresh perspective. Not only am I running to be a strong voice for all citizens of Surry, but I also believe Dendron deserves a representative who will listen to their concerns, advocate on their behalf, and show up every day to ensure their needs are met.

If you are elected, what will be your top priority in office?

If elected, my top two priorities will be smart, sustainable economic development and investing in the youth, while also working alongside the other supervisors. Surry County is truly something special and it’s time for us to invest into the future of our community, while also protecting the values and history that makes us unique. Smart, sustainable economic development is key to progressing our county forward, while also keeping our counties character. This means attracting new businesses that create jobs, expanding our tax base, and strengthening our local economy, all while preserving our rural history. Investing in the youth, our people of tomorrow is vital to the continued growth and success of Surry County. We must build a community where young people want to stay, raise their families, and lead. This means ensuring our youth has access to resources, mentorships, and workforce opportunities that prepare them to succeed, whether it’s college, trade school, workforce, or as a future leader right here at home.

What is the top challenge facing Surry County and how would you address it?

One of the top challenges facing Surry County is this: How do we grow; both in population and economically, in a way that benefits us all, while also respecting our rich history and rural character? I will address this challenge by continuing the conversation and advocating for open dialogue, where citizens have the opportunity to share their ideas and visions for how our county should grow. Your voices matter, and I believe growth must be shaped by all the people who call Surry home. At the same time, I will actively explore opportunities that can strengthen Surry’s economy and community, ensuring that growth works for everyone. Most importantly, I will remain transparent with citizens every step of the way, so that decisions are made openly and with accountability.

How do you work with others you don’t agree with?

I work with others I may not always agree with by seeking consensus and common ground. Every opinion is valuable because it sparks conversation and that is what civil discourse is all about. Even when disagreements arise, the goal should be to find shared ground and move forward together. I firmly believe that “Iron sharpens Iron.” Healthy debate strengthens our ideas and helps us grow as a community. At the end of the day, we all want what’s best for our beautiful and historic home–Surry County.
