HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police are looking for two men after a pizza delivery driver was assaulted and robbed Monday night in Hampton.
The incident happened just after 11 p.m. in the first block of Convenant Court off West Mercury Blvd.
Police say the 18-year-old male victim from Yorktown was attacked by the suspects and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money and the food items he was carrying.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Monday’s robbery comes just over a month after two pizza delivery drivers were robbed in Hampton. Two teenage boys were arrested in that case. Earlier this year, authorities on the Peninsula also arrested five teenagers in connection to a string of robberies of delivery drivers.
The suspects in the Covenant Court robbery are between 20 to 30 years old, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
