ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Officers with the Elizabeth City Police Department served warrants for 13 individuals during the week of September 22-26, police said.

According to officials, with assistance from the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement, North Carolina Probation and Parole, Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office, State Bureau of Investigations and the District Attorney Office, 13 people were arrested during a warrant round up known as “Operation: Taking Back Our City.”

In addition to the arrests, officers stated that on Friday, Sept. 26, 21 citations and 22 warning tickets were given out, including possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon, open container, consuming alcohol on premises, DWLR, expired tags, ABC violations, expired plates, paraphernalia, tint violation, seat belt, speeding and stop sign violations.

  • Kelly Cromwell, 52
    • Arrested on larceny of credit card and credit card fraud
    • Currently under a $5,000 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Justin Hayes, 31
    • Arrested for misdemeanor larceny
    • Later released with court date
  • Kayla Wentz, 23
    • Arrested for probation violation and misdemeanor larceny
    • Currently under a $5,000 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Johnny Hicks, 34
    • Arrested for misdemeanor larceny
    • Currently under a $2,500 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Eddie Poole, 33
    • Arrested for violation of domestic violence protection order
    • Currently held without bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Nasir Knight, 23
    • Arrested for disseminating obscenities and possession of marijuana
    • Currently under a $2,500 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Dakayla Gibbs-Blanchard, 25
    • Arrested for driving while impaired, careless and reckless driving, damage to personal property and injury to real property
    • Released on a $2,500 secured bond
  • Dominique Blunt, 36
    • Arrested for simple assault
    • Released on $500 secured bond
  • Lionel Johnson, 58
    • Arrested for probation violation
    • Currently under a $50,000 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Troy Jones, 43
    • Arrested for child support and probation violation
    • Currently under a $50,000 secured bond and $1,500 cash bond for child support at Albemarle District Jail
  • Jerquan Riddick, 32
    • Arrested for injury to real property, resisting public officer and discharging firearm in city limits
    • Released on a $2,000 secured bond
  • Kayla Perry, 30
    • Arrested for probation violation
    • Currently under a $10,000 secured bond at Albemarle District Jail
  • Rafael Riddick, 42
    • Arrested for misdemeanor aid and abet
    • Released on a $5,000 secured bond
  • Rodney Weeks, 39
    • Arrested for six counts of misdemeanor larceny
    • Currently held without bond at Albemarle District Jail
