DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A Blackstone man and woman face multiple drug-related offenses following a traffic stop in Dare County on Monday morning.
With assistance from the National Park Service, Dare County deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on NC Highway 12 for a driving violation at approximately 10 a.m.
During the course of the stop, probable cause was established to conduct a search of the vehicle.
The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of an amount of marijuana, methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms.
Todd Hulings, 31, was arrested and charged with the following: felony PWISD marijuana, felony traffick in methamphetamine, felony PWIMSD methamphetamine, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, reckless driving to endanger, speeding and driving while impaired.
Hulings was issued a $25,000 secured bond.
Brittany Grady, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Grady was issued a $3,000 secured bond.
