PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Emergency RV is requesting donations and volunteers to help deliver RVs to families in Western North Carolina.
After Hurricane Helene, families in North Carolina have nowhere to go for the holidays after losing everything in the storm. But one family had a Christmas miracle. They got a new home.
The nonprofit group Emergency RV donated a vehicle to Lindsey Miller. The organization was founded in 2018 after a wildfire in California decimated people’s homes. Volunteers gave a RV to the Millers, complete with food, supplies and even Christmas presents.
More than 700 people are on their waitlist, according to the organization.
