GATES COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle crash involving a moped on Saturday.
According to officials, around 12:50 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Belvidere, North Carolina on NC 32 for reports of a collision.
An investigation revealed a 43-year-old man was traveling southbound on NC 32 in a 2020 Nissan passenger car when he collided with a 67-year-old man driving a moped.
The man was then ejected from the moped and transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
