NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News man has been arrested for an incident that left after another man shot multiple times Monday afternoon.
Reginald Phillips, 34, of the 1200 block of 27th Street, is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a felon, threat to trespass bodily injury/kill and for annoying phone calls.
Police said Phillips shot a 28-year-old Newport News man multiple times after an argument in the 300 block of Deputy Lane.
Phillips fled on foot, according to police, and the victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police said Phillips was arrested Wednesday.
