The storm made landfall last Tuesday as a catastrophic Category 4 hurricane with 155 mph winds, leaving all of this devastation in its wake.
The Canal Park community in Mexico Beach in pristine condition just one week before Michael hit.
That community is now unrecognizable, with one beautiful home after another in utter ruins.
Officials say the city recently saw about a five percent uptick in property value. That may change now as some homeowners get set for a long road to recovery.
