SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that happened on Nancy Drive, one of two shootings that happened Tuesday in the city.
Police responded to the 100 block of Nancy Drive around 1:30 p.m. and found 19-year-old Nasir Javon King with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
King claimed that the shooting wasn’t self-inflicted, according to police.
Two men were also shot Tuesday afternoon at the Happy Shopper store on East Washington Street. One of the men, 25-year-old Leondrae Shaqil Johnson, died following the shooting.
