YORK, Va. (WAVY) – York County Fire and Life Safety responded to a house fire on Big Bethel Road early Monday morning.
According to officials, just before 1 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 3400 block of Big Bethel Road for reports of a residential structure fire. This is near the Tabb area of York County.
Crews arrived to the scene and found active fire and smoke showing from the outside of a large multi-story single family home. All occupants were able to safely exit from the building.
Once inside the structure, fire crews found significant fire damage to the living area, chimney, attic and roof area of the home. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
