YORK, Va. (WAVY) – The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, with the public’s help, identified and charged two of the three suspects wanted following a string of larcenies at a Dollar General store.

Shaun Gomez, 38, from Newport News, was arrested on two counts of larceny. Lauren Mayo, 37, also of Newport News, currently has two outstanding warrants for larceny.

The sheriff’s office first made an appeal to the public on Feb. 2 for help identifying the suspects, after a larceny case at the Dollar General located at 2837 Denbigh Blvd. The same group was tied to two other larcenies at the same store, they said.
