Woman convicted in connection to fatal crash in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – A woman was convicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence Monday, April 14 in connection to a fatal crash, according to the Portsmouth Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. March 13, 2022, when the driver, Tiffanie Wallace, was driving southbound in the 4000 block of Cedar Lane. Wallace attempted to make a left turn in the path of a car traveling northbound which had the right of way, according to evidence presented by the Commonwealth.


The victim, 25-year-old Khadijah Wiggins, was a passenger in Wallace’s car who sustained deadly injuries.

Wallace is scheduled to be sentenced on June 11, 2025 at 9 a.m.
