VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach spa business is picking up the pieces after a vehicle crashed into the building Thursday morning.
According to officials, just after 7 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Kempsville Road and Indian River Road for reports of a crash. Eyewitnesses told 10 On Your Side a pickup truck slammed into a pedestrian light pole, where it then went off the road and slammed into the building.
Photos from the scene show the damage to the building after the truck crashed into the spa.
Police said one person was transferred to a local hospital as a result of the crash. They are expected to be OK.
The crash remains under investigation.
