Virginia Aquarium now charging for parking

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Guests visiting the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center during peak resort season will have to pay for parking.

Guests parking at the North Building can park both in the adjacent lot and across General Booth Boulevard in the East Lot. Guests parking at the South Building can park at the adjacent lot as well as the overflow lot just behind it across Ocean Breeze Parkway.

The aquarium announced it now plans to follow the regional resort parking schedule.

The City of Virginia Beach charges a $5 daily parking fee per vehicle in Aquarium lots from April 1 through October 31. There are parking meters in each lot. From November through March, parking is free.

Aquarium Members enjoy free parking year-round.
