VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Beach Police arrested four people on Tuesday after responding to reports of people breaking into cars.

According to officials, just after 3:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of 24th Street.

When officers arrived to the scene, they were able to identify a suspect vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, officers recovered illegal drugs, a stolen credit card and three firearms, one of which had been reported stolen.

As a result of the incident, the following individuals were arrested and charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a Schedule I or II substance, possession of a firearm while possessing a Schedule I or II substance, possession of burglarious tools, grand larceny of a credit card and destruction of property:

  • Jawan Burnell, 24, of Chesapeake
  • Khalik Perry, 25, of Chesapeake
  • Jermaine Vaughan, 26, of Chesapeake
  • Amard White, 22, of Chesapeake
