VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Three people died after a vehicle crash on Northampton Boulevard in early June, police said.

According to officials, on June 8 just after 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of Northampton Boulevard for reports of a vehicle crash.

Upon arrival to the scene, officers found three people, all of which were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said that due to the extent of the injuries, the victims were not able to be immediately identified.

The individuals were later identified as Antonio Guijarro-Ortega, 18, Ivan Isaac Davila, 20, and Alvaro Duran Garcia, 24.

On Monday June 16, an American flag and bouquets of flowers lined the road where the crash happened.

Police haven’t said if they believe any other people were involved. They’re still working to learn what caused the crash.

The intersection of Northampton Blvd. and Jack Frost Rd. has seen a series of crashes. According to online police records, the intersection has seen 6 crashes in the last four years. The stretch of Northampton Blvd. in Virginia Beach has had 426 crashes since 2016.

The incident remains under investigation. No additional information has been released at this time.
