VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The popular TopGolf entertainment destination in Virginia Beach is temporarily closed for renovations.

The business says it’s on par to reopen in early May.

The Virginia Beach location is the only one in Hampton Roads. The next closest TopGolf is in Richmond.

The Virginia Beach location is at 5444 Greenwich Road. You can easily spot it driving along I-264.

A message posted on the TopGolf website says the improvements coming include new big-screen ball dispensers, new turf and decor, and behind-the-scenes improvements to enhance the bay experience.

WAVY was there in 2015 for the grand opening of the 65,000 square foot facility which features more than 100 hitting bays. You don’t need to be a golf pro to play. Even novices can take a swing at it.

The renovations began April 14. Check the TopGolf website at this link for updates.
