Stolen firearm used in accidental shooting while filming TikTok video in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Beach Police Chief says a stolen firearm will be returned to its owner after it was used in an accidental shooting during the filming of a TikTok video.

According to officials, the shooting occurred in the 700 block of Gourmet Way Saturday evening.

When police arrived on the scene shortly after 7:10 p.m., they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

VB Police Chief Paul Neudigate says an arrest has been made in the shooting and the firearm will be “eventually returned to the rightful owner.”

20-year-old Virginia Beach resident Antwan Brown-Bailey was arrested in connection with the incident. He is accused of reckless handling of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

Police say they believe the incident is isolated, however, the investigation is ongoing.
