VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Wednesday.
According to officials, crews were notified of a residential fire in the 5000 block of Rugby Road in the Rosemont Forest section of Virginia Beach on Jan. 17 at approximately 11:50 a.m.
Crews arrived to the scene to see fire coming from the rear of the structure. Further investigation found that a detached shed was fully engulfed, and that flames had spread to the rear of the house.
The fire was called under control by 12:05 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
One adult was displaced, and the Red Cross has been notified.
