VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Tuesday morning’s weather impacted travel conditions at Naval Air Station Oceana.
The base issued a traffic alert at 8:45 a.m., saying that First Colonial Rd. and Oceana Blvd. near Virginia Beach Blvd. was flooded and was closed in both directions as a result. NAS Oceana’s Back Gate (Post 2) will remain open to accommodate detours.
WAVY got video of the scene around 10 a.m. showing the road was still closed.
