VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man died after a fight at a business on Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach Saturday night, police said.

The Virginia Beach Police Department responded to a fight in progress around 8:45 p.m. in the 5200 block of Princess Anne Road, in the Kempsville Plaza shopping center.

According to calls heard over the police scanner, police responded to Coastal Cafe. 10 On Your Side’s Madison Pearman spoke to a nearby business owner who confirmed the same location.

Officers arrived to find a 51-year-old man unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The incident is being investigated. 10 On Your Side is working to learn more about what led up to the fight. We have contacted the owners of Coastal Cafe for comment.
