VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police have made an arrest, but haven’t charged anyone directly in connection to the shooting of a man Wednesday night at the Oceanfront.
Police say the shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. 300 block of 21st Street. The victim, a man, was found with a non life-threatening gunshot wound in a parking lot on 21st Street.
Further investigation revealed he had been shot in a hotel room at the nearby Sun Dial Motel.
Police have yet to charge anyone directly with the shooting, but did arrest 30-year-old Shannon Erin Loper, of Virginia Beach. She was charged with obstruction of justice in the case.
The cause is still under investigation and police say additional charges against Loper could be pending.
