VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A new Amazon delivery station has officially opened in Virginia Beach.

A ribbon-cutting celebration and behind-the-scenes tour was held on April 29 with state and local officials present.

The new 200,000-square-foot facility located at 2201 Harpers Road is Amazon’s 17th delivery station in Virginia. That includes six in Hampton Roads.

“We’re delighted to welcome Amazon’s newest delivery station to Virginia Beach,” said Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer. “This investment represents not just jobs and economic growth, but also Amazon’s confidence in our city.”

The new facility is creating 600 direct and indirect jobs.

“Our team takes pride in providing faster, more reliable deliveries to customers across Hampton Roads, and we’re excited to strengthen our roots here,” said Cory Clark, Site Lead of Amazon’s Virginia Beach delivery station.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin was in Virginia Beach back in 2023 to announce that this new facility was coming.
