VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A child is in the hospital after a near-drowning on Five Point Road, police said.

According to officials, on Friday just before 6 p.m., a juvenile was pulled out of a pool in the 800 block of Five Point Road. This is in the Great Neck neighborhood.

The child was then transferred to a local hospital and is said to be in “critical but stable condition.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
