VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Two teenagers are facing charges after a 17-year-old was hurt during a fight at Kempsville High School.

According to officials, on Feb. 17 around 7:20 p.m. during a boys basketball game against Salem High School, officers were dispatched to Kempsville High School for reports of a fight.

The school district was able to confirm that some of the players were involved in the fight.

As a result of the fight, two 16-year-old boys were charged with unlawful wounding. It is currently unclear if the two boys were on the team or if they were members of the crowd.

Police said the incident remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released at this time.
