VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach is turning into a “funky” town this weekend, or, perhaps in this case, a funky city.
The Oceanfront at 24th Street will be filled with two full days of music, food and vendors on Friday and Saturday. The city is celebrating the 15th annual Virginia Beach Funk Fest Party.
This year’s lineup includes headliners WAR and S.O.S. Band along with Doug E. Fresh, Crank Crusaders with Raheem Devaughn, One Way and Be’la Dona.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and show starts at 6 p.m. General admission is free and the ticketed Preferred Viewing section is sold out.
