YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — A juvenile in Yorktown is facing charges after allegedly shooting an Orbeez gun at a man, hitting him just below the eye, deputies said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday. A 28-year-old man was walking on Water Street with his family when he felt a stinging sensation below his eye, deputies said.
One family members said he saw a male in a passing vehicle holding what appeared to be a weapon pointed in the direction of his brother. The suspect vehicle exited Yorktown, and the family contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
The responding deputy took an initial report and was provided with the description of the vehicle and suspects. The victim sustained a red, welp-type of injury under his eye did not require medical attention.
On Wednesday, investigators were able to locate the suspect vehicle and identify the driver and the passenger.
20-year-old Kamari Fox was charged with delinquency of a minor, and the 17-year-old was charged with misdemeanor assault.
