SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – An 18-year-old man has died following a shooting is Suffolk Wednesday.
The Suffolk 911 Center got a call for service at around 9:52 p.m. in reference to a person being shot in the 900 block of Brooke Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital for treatment. At the hospital, the man, now identified as Quadaire Jordan of Suffolk, died of his injuries.
According to police, the suspect in this shooting is 18-year-old Rashad Pierre Lewis of Suffolk. Police say Lewis turned himself into police headquarters early this morning.
He was wanted for numerous warrants, including 2nd-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
