SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue responded to a residential structure fire on Baltic Street Monday afternoon.
According to officials, fire crews were notified at 12:55 p.m. of a house fire located at the 1200 block of Baltic Street. Crews arrived at the scene at 12:59 p.m. and reported heavy smoke showing from the side of the house.
Upon investigation, the crew determined that the fire was located outside of the structure and were able to quickly extinguish the fire before it spread inside. A search inside the house revealed that all occupants were out at the time of the fire.
The fire was declared under control at 1:11 p.m. No injuries were reported.
