VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The next meeting of the City Council-appointed 5/31 Memorial Committee is scheduled for 4:30-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, in Virginia Beach.
The meeting is open to the public and the venue is the Virginia Beach Economic Development Conference Room, 4525 Main St., Suite 700 in Town Center. The memorial is expected to be built at the corner of Princess Anne Road and Nimmo Parkway.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the 5/31 Memorial Committee and the public with a status update on the project, which is slated for completion in May 2026.
